Hi! To make up for my lack of posts, I will be posting everyday for 4 days. Today's nail art is really simple. I have a photo collage tutorial at the end of the post so you can see how I did it.

Swatch: Zoya Magical Pixie Dust Summer 2014

Hi! Exams are finally over. Well, sort of. I have one last exam on Monday. Since that's just one exam, I have time to paint my nails and write a post. Haha.

I bought the Zoya Magical Pixie Dust set from Polish Please! last week. This set is their Summer 2014 collection. I've swatched these polishes on 3 different days because I was so busy. I could only swatch one color per day or every other day. Haha.

These 3 have a lot of glitters in them. They have really chunky hex glitters. They are a bit on the sheer side so I had to use 3 coats for them.

First, we have Arlo. It's a purple polish with a lot of glitters in different sizes.

On Textured

Monday, July 7, 2014

Hi! The theme for Sunday's stamping challenge in AIS is 'Lace'. I haven't quite used my MoYou Bridal plates so I thought this is the perfect opportunity to use them.

For my base, I used 2 coats of Nature Republic Cocoa. I then stamped it with MoYou London Bridal 06. I finished it off with one coat of Seche Vite. :)

Fourth of July + tutorial

Hi! I've been seeing a lot of 'Fourth of July' nail arts, and I decided to make one myself although I don't really celebrate it. I also included a tutorial so you'll know how I did it. :)

Hugs and Kisses

Hi! How are you doing? I have a simple nail art for you today. It is dedicated for all the people who are in love - not just in a romantic way, but any form of love. :)

For this nail art, I used two thin coats of GirlStuff Forever Xoxo. It's a very beautiful hot pink with subtle shimmers, and it dries to a satin finish. Consistency is very good, and it glides on very smoothly! :)

Hi! I have a very simple nail art for you today. Despite my busy schedule, I was still able to do a quick mani. Stress reliever!

For this nail art, I used MoYou London Sci-Fi 06. I used two coats of Nature Republic Deep Sea Blue as my base.

When I sent a photo of this to my boyfriend, he said it reminded him of circuit boards; hence, the title.

I finished this off with my very trusted Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Swatch: Polish Me Silly - Toe-Tally Cosmic

I have a very cool polish to show you today. It's Polish Me Silly Toe-Tally Cosmic. It is a beautiful green multichrome polish which shifts its color from green to purple to gold. I painted to coats over a black base. It applies smoothly and easily. It also dries really fast to a glossy finish.

I think the only problem I encountered with this is capturing its correct color. Thus, I had to take a video of it (made it into a .gif). I had to move my ring light around just so you could see the color shift.

2NE1 "Happy" Inspired Nail Art + tutorial

I love Korean pop. Although I no longer post about it as much as I did before, I still love it. 2NE1 is one of my favorite groups. Last March, they released a music video for their song 'Happy'. Despite the very happy tune and their happy faces, the meaning of the song is actually very sad. The MV had a lot of cute icons so I decided to make a nail art inspired by it.

Before I proceed with the tutorial, watch the MV below and you'll know why I chose this design.

'Happy' by 2NE1 (via Youtube)

For this nail art, I used nail water decals from Born Pretty Store. You may use my code 'BRH10' upon checkout to get a 10% discount. One sheet has a lot of designs with different colors. The three boxes actually have the same designs. The color just changes.

Aside from the water decals, you'll be needing a small container filled with water, a pair of scissors, and tweezers (not in the photo).

Remove the transparent film. I suggest you don't throw it away because you can just put it back when you're done using the decals.

Cut out the designs that you would like to use.

Soak the design in water for about 10-20 seconds.

The design will just slide off of the paper once you pick it up with tweezers.

Just a trivia: The paper used for water decals is called water-slide. Thus, it just 'slides' off with water. :)

Place it on your painted nails. Make sure the polish is already dry!

Seal it with your favorite top coat. :) Easy, right?

The text '2NE1' was done using freehand and white acrylic paint. Here is a close-up shot.

You can now create your 2NE1 inspired nail art easily. :)

That's it for this post! Thank you for reading! :)

Winnie the Pooh

Winnie the Pooh is a bear who loves honey. He used to be my favorite Disney character because he looks so cuddly. But, along came Tigger and I just fell in love. Haha.

By the way, I have some really good news for those who are interested in buying my nail stencils. I am now able to ship internationally! :) Just send me an email or a message on Facebook.

Back to my nail art. Pooh is my inspiration for this nail art. For my base, I used two coats of The Face Shop YL702 (yellow), two coats Nature Republic Cocoa (brown), and two coats of Nature Republic Pastel Blue (sky blue).

Colored spaces + tutorial

Hi! I'll be very busy starting today until October. Our schedule for this school year is jam-packed. Don't worry, I will still update my blog.

My nail art for today is very simple but I still made a tutorial so it's easier to explain how I did it.

Captain America Inspired Nail art

Quick post!

I did a maniswap with my friend, Ayen (IG @mcbnails). I recreated her Captain America nail art and she recreated my flowers and pinstripes nail art. For this post, I'm going to show you my Captain America nail art.

I used Barry M white, Bench Paintbox Blue Steel and Revlon China Flower. I also used my straight nail stencils to create perfect lines.

I finished it off with Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. :)

Something fishy

My summer vacation is coming to its end. :( I still want to go the beach, go scuba diving and just be a bum. Of course, I have to go back to school. But I won't end my summer vacation without posting a summer inspired nail art. Believe it or not, this is the my first summer that I spent a lot of time in the beach. I usually just stay at home and watch TV. What a lazy person. Haha. Things changed. :)

How do you spend your summer vacation?

Anyway, for this nail art, I used piCture pOlish Lagoon. It's a beautiful turquoise shade with turquoise glitters in a jelly base. I used 2 thin coats for this. I really love how bright this is! :)

Marry me!

I love happy endings, especially when the story is really good and the characters are written really well. This nail art is inspired by those love stories with happy endings. :)

For my base, I used L'oreal Macaron Noisette. I stamped it with MoYou London Bridal 4 and 6. I finished it off with Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Flowers and Triangles

Hey! It's already June which means I'll be going back to school in just a few days. Well, 12 days to be exact. I will post less nail arts by that time but I promise I won't let this blog die. I'll always find time to do my nails. :)

Oh, by the way, I already reached 1000 Instagram followers! Yay! Thanks to everyone who likes my nail art.

Now on to my nail art. For this mani, I used Bobbie Kaleidoscope Cherrie Red as my base. I stamped it using MoYou London Princess 09 and Mundo de Unas stamping polish. The three triangles were made using my straight nail stencils. The polish I used to fill in the spaces is piCture pOlish Paradise.

Just a quick post!

This is my entry to MoYou London's Challenge Day 28 (Butterflies). I used MoYou London Princess 10 and Fairytale 1. For my base, I used two different colors of nail polish and a stippling brush. Yes, stippling brush for the face. Haha. I then topped it with Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Color your life with music

Hi! My nail art for today is my entry for MoYou London's May Challenge Day 27 (Colours). I used MoYou London Rockstar 13 and 11. I also used Mundo de Unas stamping polishes. I finished it off with my trusted Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. :)

The Desolation of Smaug inspired nail art

Hi. I have an awesome nail art for you today. It it inspired by the dragon (Smaug) in the second part of The Hobbit Trilogy. This nail art is actually my entry for MoYou London's May Challenge Day 25 (Movie).

For my base, I used Bench Paintbox in Beet Red. I stamped it with MoYou London Suki 07 (dragon) and Fairytale 04 (pattern).

I forgot to post this the other day. Or I'm just not proud of it. I really had difficulty with this theme. Ice and fire in one nail art? -_- I only have a fire image so I just tweaked it a bit. I used MoYou London Fairytale 03.

Saturday, May 24, 2014

I really had a difficult time thinking what I should do with today's MoYou Challenge theme - typography. I found it difficult because I don't have any plates that have words in them. All of them have patterns and cartoonish images. While I was browsing my image plates, I saw that MoYou London Pro 04 had some indecipherable words. Hence, I thought it would pass the 'Typography' theme.

Thursday, May 22, 2014

There are only 9 days left until MoYou London's May challenge ends. I've only done a few themes so I'll try to make a nail art for the remaining themes. Today's theme is flowers. I've wanted to try the leadlighting technique since its introduction. Sadly, my OPI sheer tints are not with me. I left them in Manila, and I'd go back there around June. I'm just dying to try it out so I used my OMG neon polishes, and I am happy to say that they worked beautifully! Plus, they are very cheap (Php 20).

Wednesday, May 21, 2014

I have a pretty classy nail art for you today. This is my entry for MoYou London's challenge Day 21 with the theme, fashion. At first, I wanted to make a lace design but I don't own any MoYou plate with that design. I checked all my plates to see what I design I could come up with.

I saw my MoYou London Explorer 13, and I thought I'd make a masquerade ball nail art. The gold flames are from MoYou London Fairytale 03.
